Speakeasy, a provider of broadband and voice services, announced it has extended its free phone offer, which has eliminated one of the last barriers to VoIP adoption.
Companies interested in switching to VoIP (Voice over IP) will find that now may be the perfect time to switch, the company noted, thanks to the extension of Speakeasy’s free phone promotion and the mobility-enhancing features associated with VoIP, which are validated during busy summer schedules.
“During summertime, a lot of employees will be working farther away from the office, even though it is a busy season for many industries,” said Bruce Chatterley, CEO at Speakeasy. “Employees and executives are finding it easier to work away from the office with Hosted Voice, thanks to mobility features such as Remote Office, which allows people to use their corporate number on any phone while enjoying reduced calling rates for long distance.”

Bensalem, Pennsylvania-based ISGN Corporation, a provider of technology products and services to the U.S. mortgage market, announced that its subsidiary, ISGN Solutions Inc., together with its parent company, CFCL Technologies Limited, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Brookfield, Wisconsin-based Fiserv Inc.’s Loan Fulfillment Services business. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
ISGN is a mortgage solutions company that offers lenders, brokers and servicers a broad range of residential mortgage products and services to support various stages of the loan life cycle, including loan origination, title and settlement services, loan servicing and default management.
Fiserv’s Loan Fulfillment Services business provides financial institutions with outsourced home-equity loan fulfillment services, including broker price opinions (BPOs), closing and settlement services, fee appraisals, flood and title certification, home-retention programs, portfolio and vendor-management solutions, and related services.
“Once the transaction is complete, the combined entity will give our customers a suite of innovative products and services dedicated to the mortgage industry,” said Krishna Srinivasan, ISGN’s chief executive officer. “ISGN is now poised to become a leader that helps customers manage all aspects of the borrower experience and loan profitability.”

Charlie Sheen likely to be jailed for 30 days under deal with prosecutor
LOS ANGELES, June 1 (Xinhua) — Sitcom star Charlie Sheen will plead no contest to misdemeanor assault stemming from his Christmas Day arrest for attacking long estranged wife Brooke Mueller, local media outlets reported Tuesday.
An Aspen, Colorado prosecutor confirms Sheen will get 30 days in county jail under a plea deal in his domestic violence case. With time served and good behavior, the actor could spend just two weeks behind bars, KTLA 5 reported on its website quoting sources with the Colorado prosecutor’s office.
